A case report of large adult sacrococcygeal teratoma with literature review

Sacrococcygeal teratomas rarely present in adulthood. Due to its rarity, accurate diagnosis is a clinical dilemma adults. The patient was 41-year-old female who presented with pelvic pain, low back pain radiating the legs and chronic constipation. underwent CT scan which demonstrated 6 cm presacral multiloculated mass compressing rectum. Prior presentation at our clinic, she had an EUS biopsy by gastroenterology, followed diagnostic laparoscopy due her past medical history of endometriosis. Her workup negative for gynaecologic pathology led surgical referral. We evaluated images took operating room posterior paracoccygeal retrorectal resection coccygectomy intraoperative flexible sigmoidoscopy. She complete excision pathologically proven mature 9 teratoma. teratoma rare A high index suspicion required diagnosis. It should be differential when dealing masses Complete treatment choice.
